Radiators

Thermal imaging finds the problem fast

Cold spots at the bottom of a radiator usually mean sludge; cold at the top means air. We use thermal imaging to see exactly what's happening inside your system — no guesswork — then fix it with bleeding, balancing, a powerflush or replacement as needed.

Replacement radiators & heated towel rails

Upgrading to modern radiators or a heated towel rail? We supply and fit all styles and sizes, matched correctly to each room's heat requirement.

More on radiators

Common radiator problems and what they mean

Cold at the top usually means trapped air — a bleed sorts it. Cold at the bottom points to sludge and a system that needs flushing. Some rads hot, others cold, means the system needs balancing. Add leaks from valves or pinholes and gurgling noises, and you've covered most of what we're called out for.

Balance, flush or replace

We diagnose before we act: sometimes it's a five-minute balance, sometimes a flush, sometimes a valve or a whole radiator that's corroded through. You'll always get the honest, least-disruptive fix first.

Upgrades, towel rails and moving radiators

Beyond repairs we fit thermostatic radiator valves for better control and lower bills, swap tired rads for efficient modern panels, install heated towel rails, and add or relocate radiators when you're reconfiguring a room. Tidy work, tested and guaranteed.

FAQ

Your questions, answered

Why is my radiator cold at the bottom?

A radiator that's cold at the bottom but warm at the top usually contains sludge — a build-up of rust and debris. A powerflush clears the system and restores full heat output.

Why do my radiators make banging noises?

Banging or kettling noises are often caused by trapped air, limescale or sludge, or a system that needs rebalancing. We diagnose the cause with thermal imaging and fix it at the source.

Do you fit heated towel rails?

Yes — supply and fit, in chrome, anthracite and designer finishes, correctly sized for your bathroom.

Why is my radiator cold at the bottom but hot at the top?

That's sludge settling in the bottom of the radiator, and it means the system would benefit from a powerflush. Our guide explains it in full.

Can you add or move a radiator?

Yes — we add, relocate and upgrade radiators and fit heated towel rails, tidily and tested.
